Each of the Power Hurdles has the ability to be adjusted to twelve different settings so that all levels can benefit from its use. You can adjust the height from six to 42 inches in three inch increments. In addition, each hurdle has a counterweight which keeps it in the standing position even in the event of gusty wind. If you are looking for a consistent, strong workout, it is recommended that you use more than one hurdle.
- Height varies from 6" to 42"
- Adjust to 12 different heights/ positions
- Gateboard measures 41"
- Rigid high-impact PVC gateboard will not splinter
- Powder-coated 1" tubular steel legs are rust resistant
- Color is red and white
- Each weights 6 lbs
Front Step-Over - Start the exercise by standing in neutral alignment, feet hip width apart and shoulders relaxed. Place yourself at the end of the hurdle that has the counterweight. Judge the proper height depending on your flexibility.
Keep your body in an upright position while you execute the movement. Raise the knee up into the torso and simply take a step over the hurdle. Back leg will naturally follow. Repeat with opposite leg as the lead leg.
This is an easy exercise but will train the hip flexors and quadriceps as well as proprioception. An excellent way to get over any initial fear of jumping over hurdles
Training Tips:
Exercises done with the Power Hurdles should be slow and controlled. The height of the hurdle should be set to a safe level. If you wish to increase the intensity, lift the bar height. When you jump, land softly with bent knees and ideally on a plyorobic floor.
