Push ups are an excellent upper body and core exercise on their own but add the Foam Roller and you have just increased the difficulty ten fold. Push ups with the foam roller are challenging because the roller moves with every movement you make. When you are performing a push up with a foam roller be careful because it is hard on the wrists and quite unstable.
There are many ways to use the foam roller, for strength, balance and flexibility as well as self myofascial release which is an excellent way to get the knots out of the muscles.
