This brief clip shows how to execute a Pilates Corkscrew exercise. Pilates focuses on the powerhouse or core of the body found in the torso or hips, abs, back, shoulders and glutes. To really focus on the core you can do the Pilates Corkscrew or any other Pilates exercise. In addition, there are core charts and posters that lead you through the exercises.
The corkscrew is performed just as it would appear to. You lay on your back and your legs become the corkscrew. Twist in either direction and keep control of the core. For more information on Pilates click here.
