There are many benefits to adding the Exercise Loops to your training routine. By incorporating this tool into your fitness regime you will not only feel muscles working that you didn't know you had but you will be achieving the very important, muscle confusion which keeps your body not only guessing but changing as well.  Exercise loops are a great tool to add to your fitness workouts.

Why Should You Workout with Resistance/ Exercise Loops?

Working with resistance bands has many benefits including better posture, more muscular strength, more muscular mass, faster metabolism, lowered amount of body fat, burn additional calories, and lower your chances of having osteoporosis. Wow, that certainly seems like enough reason right there!

Working out with resistance bands and loops is like working out with any other type of resistance training aid such as dumbbells, barbells, or selectorized equipment.  You need to rest your muscles between workouts like you would with any other type of workout. A good rule of thumb is to workout two to three times each week and give yourself a day or two off between sessions that work certain muscle groups. In other words, if you do legs Monday, don't do a leg workout again until Wednesday or Thursday.

A great Exercise Loop exercise is a side walk. Place the band around your ankles and take a step to the side. Allow the opposite leg to come in and repeat the motion as many times as you can.

Care of Your Exercise Loop and Other Resistance Band Gear

Exercise bands and loops are made from latex and as such are at risk for fraying which leads to snapping and potentially can be harmful. Be sure you check your band or tube before each use to avoid possible injury. You cannot repair an exercise band, loop or tube, you must replace it.

When using your resistance product, be careful not to expand the loop or band beyond two times its normal size. You can also never tie the bands together in an attempt to be more creative with your workouts because in the event the bands come untied you may be at risk for injury from a snapping band. From personal experience I can also say that you should never use a band around a tree or any surface that is not smooth because it will wear the band and cause it to fray. If you stand on your tube, band or loop on an abrasive surface such a street or sidewalk, you may also be jeopardizing your safety.

Keep your bands out of direct sunlight when you store them as well as away from chlorine or other harmful agents. If you choose to use your bands in the pool simply rinse them well before putting them away.

Using the Exercise Loops for lower body workouts are best and the Resistance Tubes for upper body. You can be creative and use each in any manner you feel is best but use caution, follow the guidelines and have fun. Always check with your physician before starting any new exercise program.
