The process by which this substance enhances energy production generates an added benefit which is its ability to burn fats and prevent fats from developing around internal organs. A study was conducted on a group of seniors with mild depression and there was a noticeable improvement in the chemical balance in the brain after being treated with L-Carnitine. Overall, this certainly does appear to be a wonder drug for people not just looking for help transferring fatty acids for a little extra energy but also for all of the above serious benefits.
