 This deadlift video has received quite a bit of criticism for the way the exercise is initiated.A proper deadlift is performed by starting with the bar on the floor and then the lift is executed using the hamstrings, glutes and lower back. I however perform the exercise from a standing position with the bar at hip height. For anyone who is looking for a great way to tone your butt this is a great exercise regardless of the perfection of its set up.
