These kettlebells have oversized, powder coated handles which make them easier to grip and less likely to drop. The paint process also means you have more control when you transfer the weight from hand to hand. Color coded so that you know easily which size kettlebell to grab.
Kettlebell exercises are touted as the number one way to burn fat than with the high repetition of swings, snatches, and clean and jerks. What makes these movements so effective is that they work the body as one piece and that means seriously hard work. High rep snatches work more muscle groups than sprinting and will build strength in the lower back, shoulders, and hip flexors.
- Handle measures 1" diameter on 10 to 40 lb kettlebells
- The 45 and 50 lb. kettlebells have 1-1/2" diameter handles
- Color coded by weight
- Colors may vary
- For indoor use only
- Kettlebell Deadlift - Begin with feel slightly wider apart than the hips. Hold the kettlebell in front of the body with arms extended. Bend at the knees and tip forward while allowing the hips to go back. Lower the body until the kettlebell touches the floor and return to start by extending the hips.
- Two-Arm Swing - Start with the feeta bit wider apart than hip distance. Hold the bell in both hands and allow the arms to be extended. Bend your knees while keeping your weight back and swing the kettlebell to chest height.
Unlike many other forms of cardio, kettlebell training is HARD. Using kettlebells for cardio does not have a gender bias like step aerobics, spinning, and other "body shaping" forms of cardio do. One way to take the benefits of ballistic kettlebell exercises up a big notch is to combine them with aerobic activities such as jogging or moderate jump roping.
