Exercises

Bicep Curl Series:
Choose a weight that's challenging to you, but will allow you to complete all three sets of bicep exercises. Stand with your feet shoulder width apart. Hold Powerblocks in hands with your arms straight down in front of you. Stand straight and shoulders back. First set of 15, do a traditional bicep curl, curling at the elbows and keeping your arms close to your body with elbows tucked in. Make sure you curl all the way up and extend your arms fully by your sides when you lower. Second set do bicep curls with each arm at your sides for a set of 15 reps. The final set with your elbows digging into your waist, raise the Powerblocks out from your sides, extending your arms straight before returning them back to waist level for a final set of 15.

Around the World Lunges:
Hold the Powerblocks in your hands with your arms by your sides. Do 15 forward lunges on each leg, making sure that your knees stay behind your ankles and making sure you lower your back leg as low to the ground as possible. Do 15 side lunges on each leg with outside leg bent, inside leg straight and Powerblocks in front of you with arms straight down. Do 15 back lunges on each leg, making sure your knees stay behind your ankles and your back leg stays low to the ground.

The weights adjust on the Powerblocks like the weight machines in a gym weight room with a pin mechanism that slides easily into the hole provided. Even though these Powerblocks hold up to 21 pounds, it doesn't feel like 21 pounds if the weight is set on 6 pounds. Powerblocks have the comfort of conventional dumbbells, but the versatility of differing weights in one efficient system.
