Push your body to its highest limits while cycling. Measure and record the results of your hard work so that you can better understand how effective and efficient your rides are and how to improve your performance.
The Polar Power Sensor W.I.N.D. wireless transmitter works in conjunction with the Polar CS600 cycling computer to monitor the intensity of your cycling session. The Power Output Sensor will measure the actual, average and maximum power values so you know exactly how hard you trained. Some other proprietary features from Polar are its ability to measure L/R balance (balance between left and right foot) and Pedaling Index (shows how evenly the power is distributed during one crankarm rotation). When you are done with your workout you can easily load your results into the Polar ProTrainer 5 professional training software for further analysis.
You bike's drive force is completely transmitted through the chain which allows the Polar Power Sensor W.I.N.D. to measure and analyze the watts accurately. You place the sensor directly on the rear pulley where it senses magnetically the speed of the chain. The chain stay sensor measures the tension of the chain by measuring the vibration while it passes over the sensor. In addition, this device detects cadence and sends the data to the CS600 computer which you install on your bikes handlebars. This unit is not meant to be used with mountain bikes.
