When you train to increase your aerobic endurance the more muscles you can get involved, the better. This machine involves upper, lower and core muscles for a true all over body training experience. This device will target quadriceps, calves, glutes, pecs and triceps to name just a few.

For an aerobic workout - which literally translated means training while maintaining a steady heart rate and even breath:
- Begin with a two minute warm-up period which includes achieving a heart rate up to 70% of your maximum
- Maintain a steady pace on the ladder for 15-20 minutes (Determine your speed by watching your heart rate - it should not exceed 80% of max)
- After the sessions, lower your speed and cool down for 3 minutes
- Track of performance over time to see improvement
To workout in your endurance training zone you need to really control your heart rate:
- Always start with a warm up, two minutes is sufficient, maintain a heart rate up to 70% of maximum
- Hold steady at 70% of max and go for as long as you can
- Chart your performance over time to see improvement

This is a really neat and different exercise machine. When I first tried it I was not sure I was going to like it but I can tell you after a few weeks
of getting back on the proverbial horse, I love Jacobs Ladder. It is probably one of the few cardio machines that really works the upper and lower
body and the heart.
