Exercises

Squats:
Place the Gymstick on your shoulders and put the footholds of the bands around each foot. If resistance is too light, wrap the bands around the stick until the resistance is challenging but not too challenging that proper form is compromised. Stand hip distance apart and lower down as if your were sitting on a chair, making sure that your knees stay behind your ankles. Aim for 3 sets of 20.

Overhead presses:
Place The Gymstick on your shoulders and put the footholds of the bands around each foot. Raise both arms into an overhead press and lower to your chest. Resistance can be made easier or more difficult by wrapping or unwrapping the bands around the stick. Aim for 3 sets of 15-20 depending on how many times you wrapped around the bands. For an extra challenge, you can do squats with an overhead press.

The resistance on The Gymstick is manipulated by twisting the exercise bands around the stick in one fluid motion without interrupting any of the exercise. The tighter the bands are, with more wraps around the bar, the more challenging the exercises will be.

Instability, which is inherent in The Gymstick, creates a strong core and requires your synergists and stabilizer muscles to be engaged throughout the exercise.
