Stretching is an important factor in exercising, the following should be down before and after all exercises:
Sit on the floor with the right leg extended and the left leg bent. The sole of the foot should be placed against the inner thigh of the extended leg. Lean forward and reach as far as possible down the extended leg. Keeping this leg flat to the ground. Hold on to the foot or leg for ten seconds. Repeat. Switch leg positions and repeat.
Start in the standing position with a slight bend in the knees, reach down as far as possible to the point of pain. At this point, back off and hold for ten seconds and release. Repeat.
Softball and Baseball are games that resemble each other. Baseball is played on a larger filed than softball, with a ball that is smaller and harder and a bat that is slightly different in size and weight. In softball the ball is always pitched underarm, while in baseball the ball may be released in any position and is usually thrown overarm or at sidearm speeds. Softball games are 7 innings and baseball games are 9 innings. Staying injury free is a big challenge for baseball and softball players. Stretching, proper training and functional training will go a long way in preventing injuries. Infielders should concentrate more on leg training to prevent knee injuries, shoulder exercises will help prevent injuries while throwing. You should always be in constant motion throughout the game. Have very deep stretches and warm ups for every game and always practice running, sprinting and throwing to condition your muscles.
