Body Bars are excellent training tools. They can be used for strength, balance, cardio or even flexibility training. Your core is engaged throughout many exercises because you need to keep the bar steady and move fluidly.  By changing your hand positioning on the bar, the body bar can be made even more unstable for added intensity and core stabilization.

Exercises

One Arm Bicep Curls: Using one arm at a time, perform a standard bicep curl keeping your elbow close to the body, making sure you lower all the way down, and maintaing control of the body bar the entire time. It should remain steady throughout the curl. Do 3 sets of 12-15 reps per arm.

Squats with Overhead Press: Place your hands shoulder distance apart on the body bar and raise it to shoulder height to start. As you extend your arms straight into an overhead press, lower your body down into a squat. Make sure your knees remain behind your ankles. As you lower the body bar down back to shoulder height, return to a standing position. Repeat this for 3 sets of  12-15 reps.
